I have used this following hack successfully on my LG DVD 7821p to enable Multi Region veiwing.

(This code/Hack is enterd by using the buttons/numbers on your remote control)

1. Remove any disks left in the DVD player and close the tray.

2. Turn the DVD player off using the power button on the remote control (not at the wall).

3. Turn DVD player on using the power button on the remote control.

4. After searching for a few seconds the DVD player will display the message "NO DISC" on the top right/hand side of your TV screen.

5. Once the "NO DISC" message has appeared on your TV screen: press the PAUSE button, then enter the numbers 3 1 4 1 5 9

6. After entering the numbers a screen will pop up showing the following text:

REGION MANAGEMENT TEST MODE
CURRENT EEPROM_REGION_CODE 4
PRESS NEW REGION NUMBER_0-6_ : _
PRESS PAUSE KEY TO EXIST

(Note the "4" on the second line is the Region code for an Australian DVD player,so don't worry if yours is different!!)

7. Next select and enter a number between 1-6 for a specific Region or just select 0(zero) to play all disc Regions(multi Region).

8. Press the pause button to exit screen.

9. Turn DVD player off for 30 seconds then switch back on to enable.

If you don't have a disc to try, you can check the hack has worked by going through steps 2-8 again. On step 6 you should be able to notice that the Region code has changed on the second line of the pop up screen.
Example:
Australian Region code "4" would look like this:

CURRENT EEPROM_REGION_CODE 4

Multi Region code "0" would look like this:

CURRENT EEPROM_REGION_CODE 0
