in the no disc mode (when the player is powered on without disc)
press setup key on remote
then press following keys in order
vol+ vol- vol+ vol-(buttons marked + & - under audio key on remote
your display should now read region 2 at top of screen
now use blue right button in middle of remote untill 2 reads 255 (multi region)
when 255 is highlighted press return key on remote
then press menu button to go back to no disc mode
you are now region free forever
good viewing
