Its a temporal solution and I've never tested before (just until step 5). Its harmless.

Follow these instructions:

1) turn on your TV and DVD.
2) open the tray
3) press and hold SIMULTANEUSLY "DISPLAY" and "RETURN" buttons.
4) Without realesing those buttons press "ENTER" ( the center button)
5) if you did it right, in the TV you must see some number appear at the bottom of the screen.

I've been told that you may need to do this every disc with a region not supported before.
