You need a AIWA stereo remote control.
Open the disc tray and insert your region 4 DVD. Press "clock" on the Aiwa RC tree times very quickly and the display will show the word "adjust". Then just press play and it will work!
You will need to do this procedure every time you turn it on, and also you will have to configure the options to your liking.
Also, the player will present the language selection menu next time you turn it on.
