LG 5812N 3 user hacks: Add hack
Region code hack posted by Startel at December 04 2002:
Power on the player with no disk in the drive
Press "PAUSE" on the remote
Enter "3 1 4 1 5 9" on the remote (the word Code appears on the display)
Enter "0" on the remote (0 = All Regions, 1 = Region 1, 2 = Region 2, etc.)
Press "PAUSE" on the remote
Power the player off and then back on
Note: Repeat everytime you want to change the region code

VCD enable hack
1. Power on the player with no disc in the drive.
2. Press Stop on the remote control.
3. Press Pause on the remote control.
4. In remote control, key in the following: 1, 4, 7, 2
5. Press the UP arrow three times
6. Press Program 6, Program 5 (the characters 04 FE should now be displayed).
7. Press Enter.
8. Press Return.
9. Power the player off and then back on
10. Play a VCD

(First do the vcd hack explained above
1 - Power up the dvd with no disc
2 - Press Pause and then press 1,4,7,2
3 - Press up arrow 6 times, the characters 07 00 should appear on the display, may be different for your model
4 - Press Program 6, Program 5 (the characters 07 FE should now be displayed).
5 - Press Enter
6 - Press Return
7 - Power off and power on the player
